SpellControl Terms of Service

SpellControl is a free hobby app, built and run by one person. These terms are meant to be plain: use the app reasonably, your data is yours, and there's no guarantee of anything beyond best effort. If anything here is unclear, email the address at the bottom and ask.

Acceptance

By creating an account or using SpellControl, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

SpellControl helps you organize physical Magic: The Gathering collections, plan binders, build and generate decks, and track multiplayer games. It is unofficial fan content, not produced, endorsed, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.

Accounts

• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for anything that happens under your account.
• You can use most of the app without an account at all, with your data staying on your own device.
• We can suspend or remove an account that abuses the service or other users, without notice if the abuse is ongoing.

Your content

You own the collection, decks, and binders you import or create. Public decks and profiles are visible to others only when you choose to make them public. By publishing something, you grant us the license needed to store and display it back to you and, for public content, to whoever you've made it visible to, nothing more.

Acceptable use

• No scraping the app or its API outside of normal use.
• No harassing, abusing, or impersonating other users.
• No uploading or publishing unlawful content.
• Respect the rate limits; they exist to keep the service usable for everyone.

Prices and card data

Card data and prices come from Scryfall and are provided for informational purposes only. We make no guarantee of their accuracy or that they reflect what you'd actually pay or receive for a card.

Availability and changes

SpellControl is run best-effort, with no uptime guarantee. Features may change, be added, or be discontinued at any time. We'll try to give notice for anything that removes your data, but this is not a commercial service with a support contract behind it.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your data from our server (see the Privacy Policy for specifics). We can suspend or terminate an account for abuse of the service or other users.

Liability

SpellControl is provided "as is," with no warranty of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including loss of data.
